Yun Hyejeong is a Berlin-based visual artist working with moving image, installation, performance, and writing. Yun investigates the normalisation of violence across multiple scales—originating within ideological family structures, inherited from the past, and reinforced by institutional systems—to explore the continuities of colonial-imperial legacies in gendered labour, migration, and intergenerational memory. Working through archival research, microhistory, and site-responsive practice, Yun examines how the hegemonic matrix and systemic violence are inscribed in bodies, landscapes, and everyday life.. By engaging in political cartography through the use of the body, voice, and language, they interweave archival fragments with situated collective memories of migration, ultimately engaging with intersectional identities and decolonisation. She is the founder of Heisse Maroni, independent publishing studio and a member of the Asian Feminist Studio for Art and Research (AFSAR)

Her work has been featured at international festivals, including the Asian American International Film Festival, New York City; European Media Art Festival, Osnabrück; Bali International Film Festival, Bali; Experimental Film and Video Festival, Seoul; and Film Festival for Women‘s Rights, Seoul.
